Ripping off the sick

IN any other circumstances, fleecing the sick and their families would rightly be viewed as morally contemptible. So why does the NHS allow private firms to use hospital car parks for exactly that purpose?

One company doubled its profits in two years – inflicting twice the misery in exorbitant charges and penalty fines on people at their most vulnerable.

This is quite simply repugnant. If hospital managers won’t relent, the Government must intervene.
