Mia, just hanging out with Dad
HANGING upside down over her father’s back and then posing with a kestrel on her head made for a topsy-turvy day for little Mia Tindall yesterday.
The young royal, aged five, was pictured horsing around on the third day of Gatcombe Horse Trials in Gloucestershire as she enjoyed a day out with her family. Over the course of the day, Mia was given an unconventional piggyback ride by her father Mike while she clutched his sunglasses.
And she later visited a falconry display, where she held a kestrel on her hand and posed with the bird as it perched on her head. She wore denim dungaree shorts, with a pair of shimmering sunglasses and glittering trainers. She also had her face painted with a sparkly unicorn motif.
Although there was plenty of time for play, Mia also helped her grandmother, Princess Anne, as she handed out rosettes to Riding for the Disabled horses. Gatcombe Park is the country residence of the Princess Royal.
Mia was accompanied by her relaxed parents Mike and Zara as well as her younger sister, Lena, aged one. The Tindall girls’ cousins – the daughters of Peter and Autumn Phillips – Savannah, eight, and Isla, seven, were also there.
