FAMILY MOVIE Missing Link, BT TV/Sky Store/Virgin Movies

HUGH JACKMAN, David Walliams and Stephen Fry are among the voice cast for this delightful stopmotion animation about a Bigfoot who is looking for his family. It comes from Laika, the same stable as Kubo and Coraline, and is much cheerier than either.

THE friendlies­t cooking competitio­n on TV returns for a new series, and with a likeable collection of hopeful chefs. Among them are Tim, who looks a bit like Prince Harry (and clearly hears that a lot), and Jess, who is very loud. ‘Get used to it,’ she tells the judges in this first episode.

WAR HISTORY Gallipoli, 8pm, Smithsonia­n

JEREMY IRONS and Sam Neill narrate a poignant new history of the disastrous World War I campaign. It uses the letters of the soldiers who took part, such as Oliver Cumberland, who only enlisted to be with his younger brother Joe. (Freeview 99, Freesat 175, Sky 195, Virgin 295)

NEW U.S. SITCOM Single Parents, 9pm, Comedy Central

GOSSIP GIRL’S Leighton Meester stars in a new U.S. comedy about the travails of single parents. Some of its mums and dads obsess over their children — some, such as Angie (Meester), long for a more selfish existence in a show that has a sharp script, likeably outlandish characters and a mushy centre.

SINGLE STARS Celebs Go Dating, 9pm, E4

IT’S not normally one to recommend, but E4’s dating series has a bit of a twist for its new, seventh run. Along with the usual mix of pop and reality stars — this time they include Blue’s Lee Ryan, Love Island’s Jack Fincham and several The Only Way Is Essex alumni — is 69year-old royal expert Lady Colin Campbell (pictured).

FREEVIEW FILM The Hundred-Foot Journey, 9pm, Paramount

THE Kadam family flee Mumbai to seek asylum in London before finally settling in France, where a delicious fusion between Indian and French cuisine slowly develops. Manish Dayal and Helen Mirren star.

BACK ON THE WARD Emma Willis: Delivering Babies,, 10pm,p, W

WILLIS (pictured with midwife Mandy Kerr) had such a good time working on the wards last year that she’s upped the ante for this new, second series — the aim is to finish her time at Princess Alexandra Hospital as a fully qualified maternity care assistant. It’s always nice to have a second career in your back pocket, after all . . .

NICK ROBINSON stars as the teetotal young man who joins an Alcoholics Anonymous group to woo the woman he’s fallen in love with (Rosaria Dawson).
