Bitter smears of the wife whose children chose to live with ex

- By Liz Hull

AN embittered wife waged a two- year smear campaign against her ex-husband after their two children chose to live with him following their split.

Bar manageress Eloise George, 48, falsely accused Tim, 56, of being a thief and of starving and mistreating their son and daughter.

She set up a string of Facebook pages, on which she portrayed herself as an ‘abused woman’ who had been reduced to sleeping in her car.

George also mocked her ex-husband’s orange £140,000 Porsche GT3 RS car, claiming he spent more on the vehicle than his children.

And after a warning by police to stay away from her ex-partner of 24 years, George was arrested for turning up at the gates of their daughter’s Church of England primary school and shouting: ‘Your father is mental!’

A court heard how George, who lives in a £349,000 house in Worsley, near Manchester, had posted a string of malicious messages on Facebook, writing: ‘There are always three sides to a story: one side, the other side – then the TRUTH. I’m staying in my

car because of Tim Scott George. Between us we have three properties and he is a liar and a very controlling man but truth will always come out in the end.

‘If anything happens to me, Tim will be held to account.

‘I’m frightened but tough!!! I’m not scared to speak my mind.’

George was convicted of harassment at Manchester Magistrates’ court on Thursday and handed a two-year restraining order banning her from going near or contacting Mr George.

She was warned she could be jailed if she breaches the restraining order.

During the hearing, the court was told how George had turned up at her ex-partner’s home when he was out, leaving gifts for their daughter and telling a builder, who was working on the house: ‘Can you give this to her – she’s my f****** daughter. I hope you two are not working cash in hand.’

Mr George, who said his ex-wife had had a nervous breakdown, told the court that relatives were concerned about her ‘frightening’ behaviour.

‘I am trying to protect myself from being harassed,’ he said. ‘She worked at the school voluntarily before she was ill but she now says things to her daughter that upset her, and her son doesn’t want to see her until she gets better.

‘Her daughter wants her old mother back – she’s frightened of the one that’s here now.’

The pair met in 1991 before marrying the following year. Mr George said his wife had her nervous breakdown in November 2015 and they split a year later, before divorcing in 2017.

Mr George said he had a ‘happy marriage’ before her breakdown. He added: ‘Police were called in because she started accusing me of stealing her handbag. There were Facebook messages. I had a look and was completely shocked.’

George, who denied harassment, insisted: ‘I don’t lie. It’s me who’s vulnerable. He’s turning everything towards me and it’s not right. On one occasion I only ate an apple over about three days as he had that much control over all the finances. I had to go to a food bank as I was starving.

‘He has got all the mums stalking me. I have not seen my daughter for three years.’

George was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs and surcharges of £130.
