DURING World War II, the Royal Navy officer George Blundell kept a diary and shot films of life on board HMS Kent. They form a remarkable and quietly emotional account of his time, and are joined by footage from El Alamein and comical dispatches from the home front for balance.

TRAIN truckers Zak and Alex face a four-day mission to deliver a pair of classic steam locomotive­s for an Autumn Steam Gala. The duo will travel over 500 miles to deliver the Large Prairie and Great Western Manor Class locomotive­s to the Mid Hants Railway in Hampshire.

VINNIE (Joseph Gilgun) and co embark on a ridiculous scheme in the penultimat­e episode, and it inevitably goes disastrous­ly wrong. This isn’t as good as last week’s episode, but it has its moments — including Dominic West’s ridiculous­ly middle-class doctor and a touching scene that will have big consequenc­es.
