England’s Forgotten Queen: The Life And Death Of Lady Jane Grey, 8pm, BBC4 HELEN CASTOR devotes the entirety of this revealing threepart series to the machinatio­ns that surrounded the crowning of England’s first reigning Queen — Lady Jane Grey, a teenager who spent a scant nine days on the throne before being beheaded.

SEASON FINALE

Harrow, 9pm, Alibi THIS drama rises above the cliche of the ‘maverick investigat­or’ to tie up the story of Francis Chester in a powerful scene that unfolds between Chester, Harrow (Ioan Gruffudd, pictured) and his daughter. It provides a satisfying finish to that tale, but the door is also left open for this show to return.

VIRAL OUTBREAK TBREAK

The Hot Zone, 9pm, National Geographic THE tension really cranks up in part two of this efficient thriller as everyone starts to realise that Dr Jaax (The Good Wife’s Juliannaan­na Margulies) was right about the virus. As she starts to fight back, Jaax is joined by her wise, hardsmokin­g mentor, Dr Carter (Game Of Thrones’s Liam Cunningham, pictured).

WARTIME DRAMA

X-Company, 9pm, History THE tragedy of war is front and centre in season two of this World War II espionage drama as Aurora (Evelyne Brochu) tries her heartbreak­ing best to help the shattered Rene (Francois Arnaud), who is still reeling from his time as a prisoner of the Nazis. There is still some derring-do, though, as Neil (Warren Brown) comes up with a cunning plan to get past the German guards.

U.S. COUPLES

Marrying Millions, 9pm, Lifetime MORE from this U.S. reality series about financiall­y unequal relationsh­ips. Not all of the couples are interestin­g, but the drama between constructi­on worker Brian and property investor Gentille — whose friends really don’t like Brian after his outburst at the cocktail party — continues to provide reliable entertainm­ent.

AUSSIE THRILLER

Rabbit, 10pm, Sky Premiere ADELAIDE CLEMENS (pictured) stars as twins Cleo and Maude in this moody thriller. When Cleo goes missing, Maude believes a dream holds the keyy to Cleo’s fate.

FREEVIEW FILM

Lost & Found, 11.20pm, Film4 SET in and around a railway station lost property office, this Irish comedy follows seven intersecti­ng stories of missing items and their owners. Shot on a shoestring by director Liam O Mochain (who also appears as a new employee of the lost property office), it’s hit-and-miss, but sincere.
