Official: Third Middleton wedding is on the way

THE Duchess of Cambridge’s brother, James Middleton, said he ‘couldn’t be happier’ after getting engaged to his French girlfriend.

Friends revealed to the Mail at the weekend that the entrepreneur, 32, and 29-year- old Alizee Thevenet had got engaged.

Confirming the news on Instagram yesterday, Mr Middleton – Kate and Pippa’s only brother – shared a picture of Miss Thevenet snuggled into his chest, flashing a sparkling sapphire ring on her left hand.

He wrote: ‘She said OUI. Our secret is out but we couldn’t be happier to share the news.’

Clearly delighted at her answer, Mr Middleton then posted a selection of personal photographs, including one of the pair kissing underwater on holiday.

Although he did not reveal how he had popped the question, Mr Middleton tagged that the picture, with its mountainous backdrop, had been taken in the Lake District. One of their friends had said: ‘They’ve been keeping the engagement secret, but news has started to leak out. They’ll be announcing it formally next week.’ Last month, it emerged the couple had moved in together.

They first met when Mr Middleton’s cocker spaniel, named Ella, ran over to greet Miss Thevenet at an event in South Kensington, west London. The couple were pictured together on the Middletons’ family holiday on the island of St Bart’s in the Caribbean over New Year.

Miss Thevenet, a financial expert who moved to Britain six years ago, was introduced to the Royal Family in May this year when she attended the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston.
