Hargreaves axes iPad app
HARGREAVES Lansdown is axeing its iPad app for all customers from Monday.
An estimated 34,000 investors use the service to manage their accounts. Hargreaves Lansdown claims investors have told the firm they prefer to manage their accounts via its website or mobile app.
But Money Mail reader Harold Wood, 92, says: ‘It is presumptuous believing all your clients have an iPhone. Most of your clients are of the older generation and not necessarily up with the latest gadgetry.’
A Hargreaves spokesman says: ‘We are focusing on the web and mobile apps as we believe we can offer clients the best experience and service through them.’
