Zero hours

-

HSBC has relaxed its mortgage lending rules for workers on zero hours contracts. Agency workers on a zero-hours contract are not guaranteed a minimum level of work by their employer. The bank has changed the way it assesses their mortgage affordability to reflect flexible working patterns and to be considered for a loan, employees must have worked continuously for the same firm for one year, instead of two.
