Why take the risk?

-

BRITAIN risks returning to the days when children died ‘like flies’ from measles because parents and doctors have dropped their guard against this pernicious disease.

So says Dr Robin Nandy, immunisations chief at Unicef, who believes falling vaccination rates could reverse decades of progress in child safety.

Echoing the Mail’s campaign to reassure parents that vaccines – especially MMR – are safe and vital, his message was loud and clear. Give children their jabs!

ACCORDING to Prince Charles, the newly-canonised Cardinal John Henry Newman ‘ could advocate without accusation, disagree without disrespect and see differences as places of encounter rather than exclusion’. How our shrill and rancorous political discourse could use such a visionary today.
