I AGREE that there was too much studio debate broadcast during the World Athletics Championsh­ips at the expense of showing sporting action (Letters).

This approach is prevalent in many TV shows. During Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing, all too often the camera focuses on the judges or audience gasping at what’s happening on stage, rather than showing it to the viewers.

Instead of constantly switching between angles and shots, there should be a camera fixed on the stage so we can share the same experience as the studio audience.
