Out of the mouths of babes

- Brenda Trigg, Bristol.

WE TOLd our four-year-old son Michael that he would soon have a new brother or sister. After his sister was born, he looked into the cot and asked: ‘If I’d had a new brother, would it have been that small?’ When we said yes, he replied: ‘Oh, I thought I’d have a friend.’ It turned out that Michael thought if he’d had a new brother, he would be able to play with him straight away!
