TWO teenage boys stabbed to death by masked knifemen at a party may have been lured to their death by a couple of girls, police said yesterday. dominic Ansah and Ben Gillham-Rice, both 17, died after a gang gatecrashed a 23rd birthday party in a cul de sac home in Milton Keynes.
detectives are investigating reports that the close friends may have been the victims of a honeytrap plot laid by a rival gang who used two girls to ‘set them up’. Thames Valley Police revealed yesterday that the attack was ‘ targeted’ and confirmed that a group of knifemen wearing face coverings invaded the house party of up to 20 guests.
One of the boys died at £350,000 property, collapsing in another teenager’s arms. The second victim died in hospital just before midnight on Saturday. Another two males, aged 17 and 23, were seriously injured in the brawl, although the teenager has since been discharged from hospital.
Yesterday a local woman, Hayley Louise French, wrote on the police force’s Facebook page: ‘I hope the two girls who set these boys up are arrested.’
A police spokesman said: ‘The possibility that the boys were lured to the address by two girls is one of the lines of inquiry. Connections to drugs is also an active line of inquiry.’
Hours before the bloodbath, dominic’s mother Tracey warned about the dangers of drugs in a Facebook post saying: ‘drugs don’t love you.
‘drug dealers don’t love you. The lifestyle doesn’t love you.
‘But all of it will take you away from the people that do.’
Friends have claimed dominic was in a gang and suggested the attack was over drugs.
The mothers of both victims, who were also good friends, were too devastated to speak yesterday. dominic’s twin sister Holly wrote on Facebook: ‘I love you so much, thank you for the 17 years we were together heaven gained another angel.’
His aunt, Louise Moore, added: ‘Love you all so much sister, our hearts are so broken. There are no words that will take this pain away. Rest easy nephew always in our hearts.’
Dominic’s Ghanaian father, who has the same name, was jailed for four years in 2010 for his part in a forgery factory in Milton Keynes that made dozens of fake passports, visas and birth certificates. Ben’s relatives declined to speak yesterday. The two friends are understood to have attended Hazeley Academy in Milton Keynes before leaving the school last summer.
Ben working is since in believed his father’s to have construction business.
No arrests have yet been made, but officers appealed yesterday to the gang who fled on foot to hand themselves in.
A woman whose son was at the party told the daily Telegraph that one of the victims died in his arms. ‘They were his friends,’ she said.
‘It’s gang related. Those boys were lured there and targeted.’
