Room for a 22nd little’un? UK’s biggest family is getting bigger!
THEY can already proudly boast of being Britain’s biggest family.
Now that position looks even more unassailable for the Radford clan.
For Sue and Noel Radford have revealed that they are expecting their 22nd child.
Mrs Radford, 44, claimed last year that she didn’t want any more children, but has clearly had a change of heart. ‘We wanted to keep it quiet for a little bit longer,’ she said yesterday. ‘But as I’m getting bigger and more of a bump, it’s getting a bit harder to hide.’
The couple, who have a baking business in Morecambe, Lancashire, made the announcement via a video posted on YouTube.

– who are already grandparents – going for a scan on September 29 along with their youngest children Phoebe, Archie and Bonnie.
In the video, Mrs Radford said: ‘Today we are going to see our new little baby. I am 12 weeks pregnant so we’re going to go and have a little peek at the new little Radford. The last scan was at eight weeks, and all was good.’ Mr Radford, 48, added: ‘There’s only one [baby].’
The couple’s youngest child, Bonnie, was born in November 2018, with the new addition due in April next year.
Mrs Radford gave birth to her first child, son Chris, in May 1989. They have had 10 girls and 11 boys – although son Alfie was stillborn in 2014. In the family’s latest video, Mrs Radford said: ‘ I’m getting a “boy” feeling.’
Despite the number of dependents the only state support Mr and Mrs Radford claim is child benefit. They rely on their bakery business – which reportedly brings in around £50,000 a year – to make ends meet. An estimated £30,000 a year is spent on the family, including birthday budgets of £100 each and Christmas spending of £250 per child.
The Radfords spend around £300 a week on food and use up one bottle of washing up liquid, four toilet rolls, 18 pints of milk and three boxes of cereal in one day.
