FREDDIE LJUNGBERG has told his Arsenal players not to give up on the top four and he still believes he is the man to guide them there. The former midfielder has not won either of his games in charge since taking over on an interim basis from Unai Emery and his team are 10 points behind fourthplaced Chelsea. But Ljungberg insisted: ‘I don’t think we should stop talking about the top four. But for us it’s about concentrating on what we’re doing now.’ Asked whether he backed himself to get Arsenal out of their malaise, he said: ‘100 per cent, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. Of course it will be difficult. When confidence is low, it’s low. We’re going to work trying to get that back.’ Arsenal have not won in the Premier League since the beginning of October and Ljungberg added: ‘I haven’t said I’m going to build around specific players but I felt I wanted to play the experienced players when it was such a difficult situation like it is at the moment. ‘I made a conscious choice to put down the older players to take the responsibility to change the game.’ The Swede played for West Ham after leaving Arsenal and is convinced the atmosphere at the London Stadium can help his players. He said: ‘They have great fans, it will be a great occasion. Maybe that is good for our players, they can relax a little bit and just concentrate on the game.’ West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini warned his team: ‘I expect to see an Arsenal team that will try to reverse their results. They have a lot of top players so we cannot be confident that we are going to win the game just because they are not in a good moment.’
