Fury taunts Wilder as rematch date set

- By DANIEL MATTHEWS

TYSON FURY and Deontay Wilder vowed to deal with ‘unfinished business’ and leave no ‘unanswered questions’ after their long-anticipated heavyweight rematch was finally confirmed for February 22 in Las Vegas. More than 14 months after their incredible first fight, which ended in a controversial draw after Fury twice climbed off the canvas, the two giants will battle again for Wilder’s WBC title at the MGM Grand. ‘There’s no more ducking and diving,’ Fury (below) said. ‘This is unfinished business for me, but come February 22, this dosser will finally get what’s coming to him and I can’t wait!’ Despite being outboxed for much of the fight, Wilder looked to have secured a devastating final-round knockout in Los Angeles, only for Fury to somehow climb to his feet and see the final bell. ‘I promise my fans that there won’t be any controversy with this one. I’m going to finish it,’ Wilder said. ‘There will be no more unanswered questions. I will finish what I started and, this time, Tyson Fury will not be getting up off that canvas so quickly. I’ve proven myself time and time again and I will do it again.’ Since that fight, Wilder has recorded chilling knockouts of Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz. Fury has beaten unheralded pair Otto Wallin and Tom Schwarz and his preparations have been disrupted after he split with trainer Ben Davison earlier this month and teamed up with Javan ‘Sugar’ Hill.
