Flack lover: That’s not my blood in ‘crime scene’ snap

- By Arthur Martin

CAROLINE Flack’s boyfriend yesterday insisted that a photograph said to be of his girlfriend’s stained sheets did not show his blood.

lewis Burton also claimed the former love Island host did not smash a lamp over his head as he slept. In a defiant Instagram post, Mr Burton said Flack, 40, is ‘harmless’ and the ‘most amazing person’ he has ever met.

His girlfriend appeared in court two days before Christmas, charged with assaulting him at her £1.1million flat. Flack pleaded not guilty and has since flown to los Angeles to ‘clear her head’ after insisting she has a ‘story to tell’.

Police were said to have found

Flack and her 27-year- old lover covered in blood in scenes likened to a horror movie.

yesterday The Sun printed a photograph of a double bed covered in blood-red stains, which it claimed were from the aftermath of the alleged attack.

The image also showed stains on Flack’s cream carpet and a green rug while the base of what appears to be a lamp can be seen near the bed. A pink toothbrush and clothes are on the floor.

Mr Burton posted the same image on Instagram, writing: ‘Bull****. This isn’t my blood and I didn’t get hit over the head with a lamp. Can everyone stop now.’ The former professional tennis player also posted a photo showing him enjoying a beer with Flack at a Christmas festival in london with the words: ‘I love this girl more than anything.

‘No one knows what’s going on or what’s happened. She is f****** harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met.’

Hours later, Mr Burton deleted the messages from the site.

last month a court heard claims that Flack feared Mr Burton was cheating on her, prompting her to smash a lamp over his head while he slept.

Highbury Corner magistrates were told police called to her flat in Islington, north london, shortly after 5am on December 12 found the couple covered in blood.

Flack was remanded on bail and barred from seeing or contacting Mr Burton as she awaits trial on March 4.

Her agent did not reply to a request for comment.
