Think YOU’RE bad at finding the exit in a packed car park?

- By James Tozer

WELL, that’s one way of getting the blood pumping at the gym – accidentally smashing into six cars in its car park.

This was the expensive scene of carnage after a woman lost control of her two-ton Range Rover as she attempted a U-turn.

Two parked cars were badly damaged while another four, including an Audi, a Volvo estate and another Range Rover, were shoved together by the 4x4’ s impromptu demolition derby on Thursday morning.

After causing thousands of pounds worth of damage outside 24/7 Fitness in Garston, Liverpool, the clumsy motorist – said by witnesses to be in her early to mid20s – then drove off despite her car also being damaged.

One bystander, who asked not to be named, said: ‘I walked out of the gym and heard a car alarm going off. I saw a woman in a black Range Rover Sport with the front of her car literally hanging off.

‘Multiple vehicles were smashed up. I was shocked – I couldn’t believe someone had done something like that.

‘She said she was doing a U-turn and the car kept on going while she was trying to brake.’

It is not known whether the driver was arriving at the £22-amonth gym or leaving it.

Some of the damaged cars appeared to be written off.

A new Range Rover Sport costs from £64,000 and weighs up to two and a half tons.

The woman is believed to have returned a short while later with her father and admitted she was responsible before giving her details to one of the car owners.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: ‘A report was received just before 11.15am that a black Land Rover was in collision with six stationary vehicles. The driver has been located and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.’
