SPORTSMAIL LANDS A DOZEN AWARD NOMINATIONS AT JOURNALISM OSCARS
SPORTSMAIL has been recognised at the sporting ‘Oscars’ with an impressive 12 nominations across the board. The Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday have been shortlisted for Sports Newspaper of the Year — an award won by the Daily Mail last year — at the SJA British Sports Journalism Awards.
MailOnline Sport is also nominated as the best Sports Website, an award it won last year. In the Sports Scoop of the Year, Laura Lambert and Matt Lawton are nominated for their sensational exclusive on Saracens and the salary cap — a story which is still sending shockwaves through rugby union after the reigning English and European champions were docked 105 points and fined £5million for breaking the salary cap for three years running.
