•WEST HAM have hijacked Crystal Palace’s £16million bid to land
HULL striker Jarrod Bowen. Palace have agreed a fee for Bowen but West Ham have moved to gazump their London rivals.
NEWCASTLE are also keen on the forward. Palace have not given up hope of signing Bowen, but the 23-yearold is believed to prefer a move to the London Stadium to join David Moyes’s side. He is one of the best talents outside the top division and would command wages of around £60,000 a week.
•AC MILAN have made a £10m bid for WIGAN full back Antonee Robinson. The 22-yearold USA international only joined from Everton last summer and is poised to complete a fairytale move to Serie A today.
•SHEFFIELD UNITED have completed a £25m deal for Sander Berge from GENK. The highly-rated Norway midfielder, 21, is expected to be joined by loan signings Dutch striker Richairo Zivkovic from Changchun Yatai and defender Panagiotis Retsos from BAYER LEVERKUSEN.
•CHELSEA’S pursuit of a striker will go down to the wire after their £6m bid for NAPOLI’S Dries Mertens was rejected. Chelsea retain hope of landing Edinson Cavani (below) from PSG after his move to ATLETICO
MADRID fell through. Should Chelsea fail it will have implications for Olivier Giroud who has interest from

Steve Bruce has completed the loan signing of Danny Rose from Tottenham. The 29-year old joins for a £2m loan fee but there is no option to make the move permanent. •MANCHESTER CITY are working on a deal to sign Brazil Under 17 international Yan Couto, who BARCELONA have also been chasing. Couto, a full back, is rated at around £5m.
•WATFORD switched attention from BURNLEY’S Ben Gibson to his team-mate — 20-year-old centre back Teddy Perkins.
•BURNLEY have signed Josh Brownhill from BRISTOL CITY for £7m with Nahki Wells close to a £4m move in the opposite direction. BRIGHTON defender Gaetan Bong has joined NOTTINGHAM FOREST for an undisclosed fee.

•READING have signed Brazilian midfielder Felipe Araruna on a twoand-a-half-year deal from Sao Paulo. The 23-year-old is primarily a defensive midfielder and is the Royals’ first signing of the window.
