NEW BAG RULES

LOW-COST airline Norwegian has revised its luggage allowances in a move designed to help flights depart on time.

Passengers booking the cheapest tickets will now have to pay extra to take a bag to be stored in an overhead cabin. For those checking in baggage, the weight allowance has gone up from 20kg to 23kg ( norwegian.com).

LOGANAIR will start flights between Aberdeen and Newquay (pictured) on April 1. The service stops in Newcastle en route, except on Saturdays from May 23 when passengers can enjoy the longest non-stop domestic route in the UK at 1 hour 45 minutes. The airline also operates the world’s shortest scheduled route between Westray and Papa Westray in Orkney, which takes just 90 seconds ( loganair. co.uk).
