Cold Feet, 9pm, ITV THERE’S been no hanging about in this series of Cold Feet, which has been the best and briskest since the show returned in 2016. Tonight’s episode is, sadly, the last of the current run, and it throws Adam and Karen’s future together into question — and finds David questioning his resurgent feelings for ex-wife Robyn.
BEHIND BARS
Prison, 9pm, Ch4 FIRST impressions are especially important behind bars. As this dynamic new series about life inside women’s prison Foston Hall begins, a fresh arrival is branded a thief, and that reputation — fair or not — swiftly travels. The seriesi isi all ll about the relationships the women (such as Laura and Katie, pictured) form to protect themselves, and it’s not the downbeat experience you might expect.
ROYAL R NAVY
Warship: Life At Sea, 9pm, Ch5 THINGSGS have got frighteningly real for the crew of the HMS Duncan off the coast of Syria. Her mission is to keep two Russian warships away from a French aircraft carrier so their jets can safely carry out strikes on ISIS targets — and the stakes are high.
BLEAK TALE
Inside No. 9, 10pm, BBC2 BOY, does this week’s tale take a few bleak turns. It’s a real kitchen sink affair that unfolds in a cash-strapped family (the parents played by Steve Pemberton and Debbie Rush, pictured left) in the run-up to Christmas, during which time the number nine on the advent calendar goes ominously unopened. There are some moments of warmth to balance out the darkness.
