Swift justice as Taylor’s dad fights off intruder

she named one of her albums Fearless – and it seems Taylor swift’s father scott had this in mind when he found a stranger leaving his £3million penthouse.
The 67-year-old fought off Terrence hoover at his home in the coastal resort of st Petersburg in Florida.
hoover, 30, allegedly broke into the building on January 17 at around 10pm through a fire exit – bypassing what has been described as a ‘fully gated and guarded entrance’.
he is said to have climbed 13 floors before reaching the luxury apartment. Mr swift, a financial adviser, said he saw hoover running out and tried to wrestle him to the ground.
hoover got away but was arrested last week after police issued a warrant.
Mr swift then picked him out of a police line-up and the suspect remains in custody after being charged with burglary on a £38,460 bail.
But the intruder’s mother, Donna DeNapoli, defended her son, claiming he got lost while looking for his estranged wife in a nearby church and should only be charged with trespassing.
hoover has a lengthy arrest record that includes domestic violence by strangulation, burglary, aggravated assault with a weapon, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
Miss swift was not with her father at the time of the incident and it is unclear whether the intruder targeted the home because of the celebrity connection. The 30-yearold singer lived in Reading, Pennsylvania as a child with her father, mother Andrea, 62, and brother Austin, 27.
Mr swift took a job in Nashville, Tennessee – the home of country music – when his daughter was just 14 to allow her to pursue a music career.
