THE warm Eighties-set U.S. comedy opens its new, seventh season with a family trip to Disneyland, led by Goldberg matriarch Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey, pictured). In season two of its Nineties spin-off, Schooled, Lainey starts teaching in the style of Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Minds.

SIXTIES SLEUTH Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, 9pm, Drama

THE latest new-to-Freeview case for Miss Fisher’s Sixties niece has a whiff of The X Files. In a two-parter that ends next week, a mysterious­ly frozen body leads Peregrine (Geraldine Hakewill) to an even more mysterious military facility, and to a patronisin­g male scientist.

The Butterfly Effect, 9pm, Sony Movies TIME-MANGLING thriller, with Ashton Kutcher as the student with the ability to change the present by jumping into the past. Dark and surprising­ly violent, it became a cult classic.

IRISH COMEDY Finding Joy, 10pm, W

JOY visits a retreat where actual tree-hugging occurs in this new episode of Amy Huberman’s life-change comedy, which is finding real heart as it goes on. Joy (Huberman) is there looking for peace, but the retreat triggers the opposite response; meanwhile, at home, her housemate Amelia (Aisling Bea) has found inner peace in the bath.

PANEL GAME Hypothetic­al,yp 10pm,p Dave

THE guests are asked to come up with new Bond villains and to devise a plan to reunite the cast of Friends in this new instalment of the reliably funny panel show. Sue Perkins and Tom Allen (pictured) both come up with excellent villains in an episode that sails much closer to the wind than usual. Felicity Ward and Alex Brooker are the other panellists joining hosts Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster this week.

PAT & PEGGY EastEnders: Back To Ours, 11pm, BBC4

PAT BUTCHER and Peggy Mitchell were one of EastEnders’ great double acts and, for this Goggleboxs­tyle reflection, the actresses who played them — Pam St Clement and Barbara Windsor — watch clips and tell stories. Hearing St Clement’s relatively posh voice is, as always, quite a shock.
