Scintillating British supercars led the field at this week’s geneva international Motor Show. Or they would have, had it not been cancelled due to coronavirus. instead some prestige car-makers took to social media to organise their own impromptu online launches . . .
Mclaren held a virtual ‘ motor show’ streamed from Woking, Surrey, to launch its 205 mph British-built 765lt.
the two-seater with a £280,000 price tag promises ‘almost telepathic driver engagement’ and a ‘ soundtrack’ from the four exhaust pipes.

■ BOND car favourite aston Martin launched its two-seater 186 mph V12 Speedster — with no roof or windscreen, aimed at producing a raw driving thrill. Priced at £765,000, just 88 cars will be built for delivery next year. it goes from rest to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds.
■ BENTLEY launched its most expensive car, the 200mph £1.8 million Mulliner Bacalar. despite the price, the Bentley has no roof, either, and only 12 will be built. With extensive personalisation, the final bill will soar swiftly through the £2 million barrier. all have been sold ahead of next year, bosses at the crewebased firm said. Powered by a six-litre W12 TSI petrol engine with 659 hp, it reaches 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
■ QUIRKY Malvern- based Morgan has put a two-litre twin- turbocharged 225bhp BMW four-cylinder engine into its Plus Four roadster which goes from rest to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds.
