Bill’s active at 83, with turmeric

Golden spice helps medal winner excel in the pool

TURMERIC, the golden spice, has been used for thousands of years in Asia, but now it has been catching on with wellness warriors and active people across the UK.

It turns out they’re onto something — more and more people are sticking with turmeric after trying it for themselves.

A leading nutritional supplement company, based in Cambridge, has received a flurry of praise for its Turmeric+ supplement thanks to a special formulation that allows more of the active ingredient to get where it is needed.

Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric, but unfortunately it is difficult for the body to absorb, meaning that powdered turmeric sold in the supermarket isn’t suitable. The company’s formulation is 30 times more absorbable than standard turmeric, and also contains vitamin C which contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage.

The impressive formula was recently certified by InformedSport, the global quality assurance programme and each one of the company’s supplements is backed by a scientific advisory board.

The results speak for themselves, with thousands more people signing up for a regular supply in the past year.

Since he started taking the supplement in 2015, Bill Moore has excelled with his incredible exploits as a competitive swimmer.

‘I feel it’s been very beneficial overall and wouldn’t like to stop. It has helped me very much — I know I don’t look or act my age, and I feel a lot better for taking the supplement.’

At 83, Bill is still keeping up his active lifestyle. ‘I won three gold medals in the British Masters Championships last October in Sheffield. Whenever I win it’s good. Everything’s a bonus in your 80s!’

He also recommends the supplement to friends at the pool. ‘I tell lots of them about it. The vital thing is to exercise as otherwise you stiffen up. Two that I train with take it now.’
