Mum shames f ly-tippers into putting rubbish back into their van
TWO fly-tippers were forced to pick up their mess after they were confronted by a furious mother of three.
Andrea Good, 42, approached the men – who claimed they were ‘sorting the rubbish out’ – by a field of hers in a Hampshire national park.
Mrs Good, who was relaxing with a coffee at home in the New Forest National Park, refused to believe their ‘cock and bull story’ about another car going past and dumping rubbish.
In a video of the incident posted on social media, she is heard saying: ‘I ain’t being funny mate but you have just pulled up here and this has all been hurled out.
‘I’m going to wait here until you clear it up.’
They were forced to put all the items, including a toilet, back in their van before Mrs Good, a farm owner, asked them to leave her field. One of the accused men said they had just driven from the Southampton tip, but needed to sort out their rubbish as the tarpaulin had ripped.
He added: ‘We’re honestly not fly- tippers love. We were so stressed because a lot of Southampton is closed off, so we are running a little bit behind.
‘When I first pulled up I thought it was just a little lay-by.’
Mrs Good, who works as an animal groomer, said the incident was the first time she had confronted a fly-tipper on her land.
She added: ‘The problem is you get so many fly-tippers these days. ... I wasn’t too interested in going to the police because they are busy enough so I thought I would put the video up for the pure comedy value.
‘The only thing I would say is I don’t think that fly-tipping would happen if tips were less restrictive about what people can dump.’
