SHE’S already the queen of reality television and now Kim Kardashian has set her sights on becoming the US’s First Lady.

The mother- of- four has thrown support behind her rapper husband Kanye West’s shock decision to run for President in November.

West stunned fans with a tweet stating his intent to step into the race, saying: ‘We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.’

Miss Kardashian, 39, retweeted her husband’s announcement to her 65.5million followers on her Twitter page along with an image of the American flag.

Shortly afterwards, ‘ Kanye 2020’ became a trending topic on social media platforms, with fans around the US throwing their support behind the controversial musician.

West, 43, who recently gained billionaire status thanks to his sports brand, Yeezy, also has backing from tech billionaire friend Elon Musk, who replied to the tweet with: ‘You have my full support!’

This isn’t the first time the musician, who has been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump in the past, has spoken about running for the highest office in the land.

Last autumn, he told a crowd at the Fast Company’s Innovation Festival that he intended to run in 2024. In 2016, he also spoke of his desire for the top job. However, his wife did not support his ambitions because she feared her salacious past would be an issue.

She said: ‘ I say to Kanye, “Babe, you know the kind of photos they’d put up of me”.’

In 2002, before Miss Kardashian became a household name, an intimate video of her and her then boyfriend Ray-J, also a rapper, was released by a porn company.

She sued to prevent it from being shown, but accepted a £4million settlement and allowed it to be released. It is not yet known if her husband will be launching a political party of his own.

West would not be the first to make the unlikely move from showbusiness to the White House.

Republican President Ronald

Reagan, who was in office from 1981 to 1989, first came to public attention as an actor. He made his film debut in 1937 and acted alongside stars such as Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart.

Mr Reagan was elected governor of California in 1966 and held the post until 1975. In 1976, he lost the Republican nomination to Gerald Ford but four years later was successful and led the party to victory in the presidential election.

Mr Trump was famously a reality television star before becoming a politician, hosting the US version of The Apprentice.

n The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly set to produce a film based on a political novel that could ruffle feathers in the White House. Meghan, 38, is believed to have worked out a deal with author Lloyd Scott.

Scott’s novel, Election Year, follows Senate staffer Maverick Johnson Malone, working for a popular senator, who is revealed to be a Russian operative.
