FOUR LINES OF COCAINE AND A PINT OF WHISKY FOR LUNCH
STREWN with lines of cocaine, a full pint glass of whisky and a CD from Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, this is Johnny Depp’s table at lunchtime.
Littered with drugs and tobacco, there is also a wooden box with a skull-andcrossbones and the words ‘Property of JD’ – which the High Court heard was Johnny Depp’s ‘special cocaine box’.
It was one of several snaps displaying Depp’s raucous lifestyle that were shown to the court.
Another photograph showed a tabletop with lines of cocaine next to Depp’s black American Express card.
This one was taken in 2013 at the house Miss Heard shared with her sister Whitney
on the day Depp was supposed to be filming a documentary about Keith Richards, to whom he later turned for advice on staying sober.
Depp and Miss Heard had rowed about his drug and alcohol use all night and in the morning Miss Heard’s sister ‘was presented with a complete mess in the kitchen’, the court heard.
Sasha Wass QC, for The Sun, said to Depp: ‘There were lines of cocaine on the worktop, an empty bottle of whisky, there were cigarette butts everywhere, glass on the floor and the furniture askew. That jog your memory at all?’
He said he did not remember the destruction but recalled there had been a ‘nasty argument’. Miss Wass said Depp was late for the studios but when a car arrived he ‘refused to leave the house’ because he was ‘snorting more and more lines of cocaine’.
Depp claimed Miss Heard had been a cocaine user too, which she denies.
He claimed: ‘I have experienced many times with Miss Heard that she would in fact chop the cocaine up for me so I could do the line, and then she would press her finger into it and ingest it orally.
‘I’m not suggesting she did that this occasion but it was a normal duty that she felt obligated to do.’
He added: ‘Miss Heard is a creature of routine. There are certain things she did for me I wasn’t allowed to do for myself. When I arrived home she would take my boots off and that was a regular routine.
‘So it wouldn’t be anything out of the ordinary for her to chop those lines.’
