‘SUMMER’S Saved!’ says Jet2.com, as it launches flights to 40 quarantine-free European destinations from Wednesday. Tempting offers include Manchester to Venice from £37 one-way in late August, and Stansted to Lanzarote from £44 one-way in early September ( jet2.com).

MANCHESTER EXPANDS

MANCHESTER Airport’s Terminal Two will re-open on Wednesday in response to increasing passenger numbers. Terminals One and Three are already in operation and more shops and food outlets are opening airside including duty free stores ( manchesterairport.co.uk).

LOUNGES OPEN

THE Club Aspire lounges at Heathrow Terminal Five and Gatwick North Terminal open today with admission from £38.49 and £27.49 per person respectively. New Covid-19 measures include a reduction in capacity, table service only, the removal of publications and a limit of three alcoholic drinks per guest ( executivelounges.com).

BRITISH AIRWAYS RETURNS

BRITISH Airways will add more routes to its schedule next week including flights from Heathrow to Marrakesh (below), Istanbul and Dubai. Services from Gatwick to the Caribbean resume on July 18 starting with Barbados and followed by Jamaica and St Lucia later in the month ( ba.com).

GREECE OPENS UP

WIZZ Air will operate six routes from Luton to Greece this summer. Flights to Crete start on July 16 with fares from £25.99 one-way, with Corfu, Rhodes and Zakynthos added over the following days ( wizzair.com). QATAR AIRWAYS SAFETY

QATAR Airways has introduced safety measures that require all passengers to wear both a face shield and mask for the duration of their journey. These will be provided as part of a complimentary travel kit that also includes gloves and hand sanitiser. Cabin crew will wear protective gowns ( qatarairways.com).

SAS LINKS

SAS start flights from Heathrow to Oslo on Wednesday with Manchester added the next day followed by Edinburgh on July 23. There is only one carry-on item and no food or drink service ( flysas.com).

EASTERN PROMISE

EASTERN Airways is expanding its regional services from Southampton. Flights are operating to Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle and a route to Dublin launches on August 17.
