THERE’S A SPIDER

There’s a spider in my shower She’s been there for quite a while. Just a-weaving and a-spinning She really makes me smile. Her larder’s pretty meagre, Not even five a day. But she seems to be quite happy Resting high above the spray. There’re two spiders in my shower. Is the stranger friend or foe? If he turns out to be the latter

He’ll really have to go. Their dance is really charming — Full of grace and wit and style But if they come down any further I might just run a mile. Lots of spiders in my shower. Spider babies by the score. It’s getting really crowded There’s no room for any more. Incy must be quite frustrated As she tends her growing brood.

Her husband’s less than helpful As he eats up all the food. There’s a spider in my shower, It’s just me and Incy all alone Her husband’s fled to pastures new And the children are all gone I think I’ll clean the tatty web And start afresh with glee, Then let nature take its course again. One spider’s quite enough for me.
