AT A SAFE DISTANCE

LOOKING for a folding wheelchair r to make days out and staycations s easier? Spring Chicken supplies s them — and a range of scooters, riser r recliner chairs and adjustable beds.

They will take great care during a demonstration or delivery.

Demonstrations are now given via a conference-calling facilities where e possible. Any face-to-face demos, if f required, will usually be in an outside e space unless unavoidable.

Beforehand, staff and customers s are each asked to confirm that they, or their household members, are not displaying any symptoms.

Staff will sanitise their hands, wear gloves and face masks, and will bag and remove all rubbish and sanitise products thoroughly. They do not shake hands and will always remain at a safe distance.

The customer is also supplied with gloves if they will be trying the product during the demo. Deliveries can be left outside for collection, or in an unoccupied room to ensure social distancing. The member of staff will then exit to a safe distance, so that the customer can inspect the goods.

GREAT FEEDBACK

WISHING you’d had the comfort and support of a riser recliner chair these past few months? Specialist Oak Tree Mobility is open for business again and following full government guidelines. For example, advisers call in advance to ensure it is safe to proceed. They wash hands or use hand sanitiser on arrival and leaving, practise two-metre distancing and wear gloves and a face mask during a demonstration.

If you want to test a chair or bed by sitting or lying on it, the demonstrator will first cover it with a disposable sheet. Before and after the visit, the product will be thoroughly cleaned.

The new procedures have proved very popular, with customers giving great feedback, explains the company.

HAPPY anniversary to Elite Mobility, which is celebrating 20 years as a supplier of top quality, competitively priced mobility scooters and other assisted living aids.

Each year has delivered more satisfied customers and growth, says the company, which is delighted to be back after the lockdown.

A featured product is the latest version of the Mini Crosser, known as the X Series. Built for challenging Nordic conditions, it is sturdy and reliable — and parts, such as the seat or controls, can be upgraded as needs change.

The sales advisers are using full PPE and are sanitising the demo scooters before and after. All the procedures are explained over the phone beforehand.
