BA SALE

BRITISH Airways has launched a flight and holiday sale that runs until September 30. Deals include Gatwick to Antigua from £379 return in October, and Heathrow to New York from £282 return in November, and Heathrow to Dubai from £281 return in February, 2021 ( ba.com).

MANCHESTER SWITCH

FROM Wednesday, flights from Manchester will operate from Terminals One and Three only. Both terminals now offer shops, food outlets, ATMs and currency exchange ( manchester­airport.co.uk).

PORTUGAL FAST TRACK

WITH travel restrictio­ns to Portugal now lifted, Ryanair is adding more flights to Faro, in the Algarve, from September 11. Most will leave from Manchester and Stansted but there are also connection­s from other UK airports ( ryanair.com).

FREE COVER WITH VIRGIN

VIRGIN Atlantic is providing free Covid-19 insurance for new and existing bookings until March 31, 2021. If a passenger or their travel companion falls ill on a trip the cover includes emergency medical costs plus transport and accommodat­ion expenses up to £500,000 ( virginatla­ntic.com).

QATAR CONNECTION

QATAR Airways now has daily flights from Gatwick to Doha with onward connection­s to over 85 destinatio­ns. Tickets booked for travel up until December 31 are valid for two years and the carrier’s ‘Rely On Us’ policy offers options for changing dates and destinatio­n ( qatarairwa­ys.com).

LUFTHANSA DROPS FEES

LUFTHANSA Group, which includes Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines, is waiving all rebooking fees until December 31. Current offers include Heathrow to Berlin from £104 return in November, and to Geneva from £67 return in February ( lufthansa.com).

LANZAROTE LINK

WIZZ Air will launch a new route from Gatwick to Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, on October 23 with fares from £26.99 one way. Seven nights at the three-star Vik Coral Beach resort costs from £400, roomonly, staying in a two-bedroom seaview villa ( wizzair.com, vikhotels.com).
