Respect mask rule

-

I am almost 73 years old and I happen to live some ten metres from my local junior school, and what I see makes my blood run cold.

Since the school reopened, I have seen about 70 parents every day waiting outside the school to collect their children, and I counted just five people wearing masks.

all those parents are allowed to go into the school grounds, and many take in infants and babies with them.

While queuing to go into the school, distancing is nonexistent. They are huddled together talking, and that continues in the schoolyard, where they can chat with school staff, who also are mostly not wearing masks.

Only this week I saw a group of eight parents speaking together inside the school. Not a word from any of the staff nearby.

The Government’s rules might as well not exist. It probably happens around the country. Since april, I have used buses about six or eight times a week, and have not been on a single bus where everyone was masked. It’s not a bus driver’s job to get involved in an argument over masking. Like the school, no one enforces the rules.

When shops reopened, they made an effort to keep customers under control with floor markings and staff at the doorways. But many seem to have thrown away any attempt to keep people safe.

Sadly, there are people out there who have no intention of following rules. at my age and with health problems, I do not wish to die due to idiots.

WHY is U-turn regarded as a derogatory expression? It is simply adapting to changing circumstances and learning from them.

also what is wrong with the army, and the Navy and RaF, working to back up the police? They are all public servants and should be utilised to help in a crisis.
