ROSE NOT IN JOSE PLANS AS FUTURE STILL UP IN AIR

- CONTRIBUTORS: Sami Mokbel and Tom Collomosse

DANNY ROSE is set to be left out of Tottenham’s Premier League and Europa League squads. Having failed to land a move from Spurs ahead of Monday’s deadline, Rose could still move to a Championship club before the October 16 domestic deadline. Clubs must register their updated 25-man squad lists by October 20 and Rose is not expected to be part of it with the two senior left back spots given to Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies, while youngster Dennis Cirkin is also at the club. BARNSLEY defender Bambo Diaby has been suspended for two years and sacked by his club for a doping violation. Diaby, 22, was charged after providing a urine sample last November which tested positive for the stimulant higenamine. The ban is effective from his provisional suspension on January 17, 2020. FULHAM winger Anthony Knockaert is a loan target for Nottingham Forest. New manager Chris Hughton previously worked with Knockaert, 28, at Brighton. Derby, Watford and Middlesbrough are among the clubs interested in Chelsea left back Baba Rahman. Meanwhile, Watford are to hold talks over a contract extension for former Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley. WEST BROM are confident of completing the signing of Huddersfield forward Karlan Grant before next Friday’s EFL deadline, and are also considering a move for Josh King of Bournemouth. Huddersfield had been holding out for £17million for 23-year-old Grant, but there is a feeling on both sides that a deal can be agreed.
