Noel’s girl does racy pose but admits: I haven’t told him
HER father Noel is hardly the quiet man of rock. But Anais Gallagher admits she kept her latest racy modelling shoot secret from the former Oasis wildman.
The 20-year-old stripped off to promote a range of daring lingerie for Bluebella’s new autumn/winter collection. As the provocative images were released, she confessed: ‘I haven’t told my dad yet!’
Anais, whose mother Meg Mathews earned a reputation in the 1990s as one of Britpop’s party queens, is pictured in a red mesh body and also poses in a bathtub in a sexy black two piece with stockings, suspenders and boots.
Speaking about keeping the shoot a secret from her father, she said: ‘My dad doesn’t know about the pictures.
‘I’ve not told him. he knows I’m an adult who is quite vocal about my life and about what I choose to do. he is very open about what I do.’ Anais said she had received the approval of Miss Mathews, 54, who was married to Gallagher for four years. ‘My mum was very happy about me modelling for Bluebella and I showed her the photos before anyone else,’ she said. ‘Like most young women I’m a bit self- conscious with pictures of myself and I wasn’t confident about how I looked. But mum said to me, “Are you mad, they are amazing!”.
‘As soon as she said that I was completely OK with them, and they are really great.’
The photography student, who has modelled for Mulberry and Dolce & Gabbana, admits her parents’ rock’n’roll lifestyle ‘was never my thing’.
She spent lockdown raising goats on a Dorset farm with her boyfriend Julius Roberts, 25. ‘My parents are famously [into partying] and they love going out, and they are very social and I’m completely the opposite,’ she told Tatler last month. ‘I think I have rebelled in the opposite direction.’
Of Gallagher, who now fronts high Flying Birds and has yet to meet Mr Roberts, she said: ‘he is just so busy. he’s not your normal dad. I get where he’s coming from but I’m less full-on.’
