TODAY’S THREE KEY CLASHES
AARON AA WAN-BISSAKA v RAHEEM R STERLING
LEIPZIG’S LEI City loanee Angelino exposed Wan-Bissaka Wa time and again in midweek during du United’s fatal Champions League defeat de in Germany, and the full back (left) will wi surely be targeted again today. United Un must be particularly wary of Kevin Ke De Bruyne’s through balls, splitting sp Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire for Sterling (right) to run on to. The City winger will be de desperate for a first Premier Le League goal against United after 16 appearances without scoring.
BRUNO FERNANDES v RODRI
FERNANDES has been prolific since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in January, with 15 goals and 11 assists in 26 league games. Pep Guardiola is not often one to go for a man-marking, shadowing approach but Rodri, his linchpin in defensive midfield, must keep an eye on the Portuguese Portugu throughout — while trying simultaneously to orchestrate his own side’s passing game.
ANTHONY MARTIAL v RUBEN DIAS
MARTIAL is still without a league goal this season but has a knack for turning it on in big games, finding the net in both meetings between these two last season. The Frenchman can become the first United player to score in three consecutive derbies since compatriot Eric Cantona managed five in a row in the mid-90s. Derby debutant Dias has been a revelation in recent weeks for Guardiola, and leads a City backline that is approaching eight hours without conceding.
