BEST KICK
LLOYD EVANS barely put a foot wrong at Kingsholm and he used his right one superbly with a conversion from wide on the right through howling wind and driving rain.
BEST CELEBRATION
AMONG many Munster heroes, CJ Stander was immense and he stood with a huge grin on his face while still part of a choke tackle to win a late penalty in Clermont.
STRANGEST SILENCE
EMPTY grounds have become a familiar backdrop lately but it really jarred to see and hear Stade Marcel Michelin without Clermont’s ‘Yellow Army’.
RESPECT EARNED
THE expectation was that Northampton would be put to the sword in Dublin, but Leinster resorted to taking shots at goal in recognition of how the Saints put up an almighty fight.
EPIC COMEBACK
MUNSTER conceded a try after only 26 seconds in Clermont and at one stage trailed 28-9, so the way they rallied to win will go down as one of their greatest feats.
WELCOME WARNING
ENGLISH referee Matthew Carley told Clermont wing Damian Penaud and others to stop appealing for opponents to be shown cards. Good. It has become a blight on the game.
