Did Strictly’s Jamie break Tier 4 rules?
STRICTLY Come Dancing finalist Jamie Laing has been accused of breaking Tier Four restrictions by travelling from London to the Cotswolds to spend Christmas Day with family.
The Made in Chelsea star, who made it to the final four in this year’s dance competition, reportedly went to his mother’s farm in Cirencester last Tuesday. Laing, 32, is alleged to have travelled out of Tier Four London two days after rules banning people from leaving the city to join another household for Christmas came into effect.
Cirencester was in Tier Two on Christmas Day and moved up to Tier Three on Boxing Day.
While he is now back at his London flat, Laing, pictured, is said to have shared a video of himself making cocktails in what looked like the kitchen of his mother’s home on Christmas Day. In an Instagram ‘story’ video seen by MailOnline, he could be seen standing in the kitchen which has the same wooden beams and decor as the farm.
His sister Emily also reportedly shared a video of herself in what appeared to be the same room, suggesting that they were together at their mother’s house.
The video has since disappeared from the site as ‘stories’ are only available to view for 24 hours. It is unclear exactly when the video was taken. Laing’s representatives did not return requests for comment.
The television star had previously said that he was ‘stuck’ in London like ‘everyone else’ during an appearance on BBC Breakfast last Monday.
‘I was planning on going to my mum’s and I was going to spend Christmas with the family, but I don’t think that’s going to happen now, unfortunately,’ he said.
He shared a number of videos of himself back in his Chelsea flat, which he shares with girlfriend Sophie Habboo, on Sunday.
