Alexander Wang ‘drugged his victims’
FASHION designer Alexander Wang has been accused of drugging models with ecstasy and sexually assaulting them.
Wang is a ‘sexual predator’ and a ‘monster’, male and transgender models claimed.
The 37-year-old allegedly raped one person and battered another with a bottle after buying them shots of spirits and forcefully taking them home. Most of the accusations, which have rocked the fashion world, were made anonymously, but British model Owen Mooney claimed Mr Wang groped him in a club.
Wang, who is gay, is one of the world’s most famous and influential designers. Fans of his work include Rihanna, Kanye West and the Kardashians. Meghan Markle wore a pair of Wang cropped trousers for a trip to Birmingham on International Women’s Day in 2018.
The as-yet-unproved accusations – the latest example of #MeToo and social media justice against alleged predators – began with a post on Instagram from an account called ‘S***

Model Mgmt’. It read: ‘Alexander Wang is an alleged sexual predator, many male models and trans models have come out and spoken about the alleged sexual abuse that Alexander Wang has inflicted upon them.
‘It is important to show your support to these victims by unfollowing Alexander Wang and boycotting his clothing line.’ The same account, which describes itself as a ‘model exposing the truth’, added that the allegations against Wang were known ‘for a few years now’.
The post included claims from other accusers, including one who said Wang gave a transgender friend water laced with MDMA, a pure form of ecstasy. The post claimed others had reported the same thing.
Another accuser called Wang a ‘monster’ and claimed that by secretly giving him ecstasy, the designer caused a manic episode that left him in hospital for weeks.
Mr Mooney said his alleged assault happened in a packed New York City club in 2017. He said: ‘I was by myself at one point style is using black and celebrities and this guy next to me obviously who have worn his designs include took advantage of the fact that no Gisele Bundchen, Lady Gaga and one could f****** move. His signature worked with Wang and considers him a friend, urged caution over the claims. He told fashion website WWD: ‘I’ve been through it. I was wrongly accused. I have enormous sympathy for both sides.
‘I would simply urge that people be given adequate credibility to be heard on both sides. And that people refrain from making judgments based on allegations and complaints of public pronouncements in the press.’
Wang declined to comment.
