Winter skin? Give it a moisture boost

-

AGEING — it’s a fact of life but do we really need to look as old as our true skin years? Over time, crow’s feet and laughter lines seemingly appear from nowhere — making skincare a hot topic of discussion.

One minute we’re smooth and plumped, when natural collagen levels are full to the max — next, we’re looking in the mirror asking where those lines came from?

Skincare expert Diane Ackers (inset) says: ‘So many processes in our skin change as we age. The flexible, bouncy collagen starts to deplete and become more rigid, meaning our skin loses its ability to stay firm and supple.

‘Add in changes to skin tone and texture — not to mention fine lines, wrinkles, dehydration and sagginess — and we’re left looking older and a little greyer.’

So when you look in the mirror, do you feel in need of a boost? Most of us certainly do just now, as that cold, winter chill can play havoc with skin.

We might feel toastie with the central heating on full blast, but our skin is crying out as it dehydrates. Head outside on a brisk day and the wintry air, less humid than at other times of year, draws moisture away from the skin.

Moving between cosy warmth and coldness means our skin suffers temperature distress and is in definite need of an instant moisture boost.

Anti-ageing marine collagen amino acids to the rescue…

Reviving your skin with superhydrating marine collagen amino acids enhances suppleness and flexibility. Fact!

The end result: Revived and renewed, youthful-looking skin that’s hydrated, so naturally performs better.

Diane adds: ‘We look fresh, the glow reappears ( and not from the cold outside!) and we most definitely feel younger as the appearance of wrinkles diminishes.

‘I know which antiageing efficacious ingredient is going in my daily skincare routine ( big hint time — marine collagen). H ow about you?’
