During the first 11 months of 2020, 5.5 million energy customers switched their supplier, and with December’s numbers still to be counted, figures could very well breach the 6 million mark.

The typical trend is that year on year more people are engaging with the energy market and are looking to cut back on unnecessary costs. To give you an example, 2019’s overall switching number beat the year before by a massive 9%, with the 2018 record of 5.8 million switched being trumped by 2019’s 6.4 million.
