Mask is antiviral and eco-friendly
AS COVID-19 lockdown restrictions start to slowly ease, our daily lives are set to return to near-normal in many ways.
Yet mask wearing is here to stay, whether we are using public transport, walking in a busy area or shopping for essentials. The Government recommends using a mask anywhere you may be in contact with people that you don’t normally meet.
This is because Covid-19 usually spreads by droplets from coughs, sneezes and speaking. But while masks are now commonplace, there is increasing concern about the mountains of Covid waste caused by disposable types.
An alternative is a newgeneration antiviral mask made from soft, breathable fabric. Being washable, this is an eco- friendly option which can be reused for up to a year.
This new mask is proven to reduce tested viruses on the surface by more than 99 per cent in just two hours.
It is made up of seven layers — two of antiviral protected fabric, along with a five-layer replaceable filter. Each mask’s antiviral protection comes from a specially developed coating called Polygiene ® ViralOff ®, which is applied to breathable soft fabric.
The individual filters have a bacterial filter efficiency of more than 98 per cent and have been tested to stringent European standards.
T h ey h a ve also been tested against a number of respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 — and while they cannot promise immunity, because of the variety of means of transmission, they can deliver a crucial reduction in viral load.
Adjustable ear loops and a wire nose bridge allow for a customisable fit — making the mask great for glasses wearers and preventing glasses fog.
And each one comes with a bag and a name tag, so that you can easily identify it as yours.
These eco-friendly masks, available on the High Street as well as online, are designed to make life that bit easier as we continue to take care.
