Millie: I was ashamed of post-baby body

MILLIE Mackintosh looks in her element as she poses in a bikini one year on from the birth of her daughter.

But the 31-year-old Quality Street heiress has revealed she was initially ‘ashamed’ of her post-baby body.

Miss Mackintosh gave birth to her daughter Sienna on May 1 last year.

She has told Women’s Health how she struggled to love her figure in the first three months.

‘It was honestly quite hard to see my body after a baby. And I think it is for a lot of women,’ she said.

‘It can really feel like a shock and something that’s hard to love, maybe, and hard to feel good about.

‘I did feel self-conscious when I went out and wouldn’t want anything to be tight to my tummy. And I did feel a bit ashamed of my postpartum body.

‘And it’s kind of sad that I felt that. It feels good to admit that and say, I did struggle looking in the mirror for the first three months.’ The former Made In Chelsea star said she feels more positive about her body. ‘It definitely won’t go back to being exactly the same as before and I’m OK with that. I feel more womanly, and I’m really loving it,’ she said. Miss Mackintosh, who married costar Hugo Taylor in 2018, has shared stories of motherhood mot on Instagram.
