Bennifer back on? J-Lo and Affleck on holiday together 17 years after split
THEY were Hollywood’s hottest couple until they called off their engagement. But, 17 years on, it looks as if Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may have rekindled their romance.
The pair were spotted driving through Montana in Oscar winner Affleck’s SUV after reportedly spending a week together at his ski chalet.
After both becoming single again, they have been spending more time together, sparking speculation that the relationship – dubbed ‘Bennifer’ – is back on.
They appeared separately on stage at the Vax Live concert, filmed on May 2, before Affleck reportedly whisked the pop star away for the week-long ski trip.
The pair are thought to have caught a private jet to the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, a celebrity hotspot which Affleck frequents and where he has a chalet.
‘They were alone. Just the two of them,’ a source told E! News. They were seen getting off the private jet together when they arrived back in Los Angeles.
Affleck, 48, recently split from Bond actress Ana de Armas, 33, while Miss Lopez, 51, ended her engagement to former baseball star Alex Rodriguez, 45, following a four-year relationship, amid rumours that he had been unfaithful.
Miss Lopez, who had already been married twice, started dating Affleck in 2002, two years after his split from Gwyneth Paltrow. They were engaged a few months later but called off their wedding just days before the ceremony in 2003 and announced their split in 2004. Affleck went on to marry actress Jennifer Garner in 2005. They have three children but separated in 2015 and divorced in 2018.
In 2004, Miss Lopez married Marc Anthony, with whom she has two children, but the pair broke up in 2011.
While Affleck and Miss Lopez have remained friends since their split, they have started seeing each other more regularly in the past few months.
Last month the actor was seen being collected by the singer’s security in a white Cadillac Escalade and taken to her LA home. ‘Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house,’ a source told celebrity gossip website Page Six.
In an interview with InStyle last year, Affleck revealed that he was on good terms with Miss Lopez and praised her as ‘one of the hardest-working’ people he’s known in the entertainment industry.
‘They were alone at his chalet’
