Marianne is back in control of heartburn episodes
MARIANNE Sloan (pictured) has suffered with upper gastrointestinal symptoms for nine years, including painful and long-lasting episodes of heartburn, as well as bloating and other stomach troubles.
After diagnosis of a gastrointestinal disorder, she tried various prescribed medications and over-thecounter remedies, but with little success. Her symptoms have had a huge impact on her work and social life.
She says: ‘As soon as I feel the triggers, I know it’s game over and I need to get home quickly. I have had to be strong to cope as I don’t want this to control my life.’
Thankfully, a friend gave Marianne a bottle of silicic acid to try. ‘It has helped reduce all my symptoms. As soon as I feel the heartburn starting, I take it straight away.
‘The first time I tried it, three hours into a bad night of heartburn, I was able to lie down within 20 minutes and sleep until morning. I couldn’t believe it. Normally I would have spent the night pacing the floor.’ Marianne now also takes it preventatively before big meals. She says: ‘I can’t explain how unbelievably grateful I am to my friend for giving me a bottle to try.’
Silicic acid in a colloidal and hydrated gel can relieve upper gastrointestinal disorders including reflux, heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, abdominal discomfort and flatulence.
Once taken, the gel forms a protective and soothing coating that lines the stomach, adsorbing irritants and helping to pass them out of the body.
Users typically report relief from their symptoms and feeling in control of their life again — able to exercise, cope better at work, use public transport and accept social invitations that would once have been impossible.
Silicic acid gel can be purchased from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Holland & Barrett and health stores.
