Stylist Galvin’s stepson hacked his Instagram to embarrass him
THE stepson of celebrity hairdresser Daniel Galvin Jnr hacked the stylist’s Instagram account to ‘air his dirty laundry in public’, a court heard yesterday.
Raphael Yadgaroff, 31, admitted posting a message to embarrass Mr Galvin while he was waiting to be questioned over an alleged assault at the family’s home.
The social media post – purporting to be from the high-society stylist – was published six months after Mr Galvin’s cheekbone was fractured in the row at his country farmhouse in Worcestershire.
An earlier hearing was told Mr Galvin, 52, who counts Johnny Depp and Kylie Minogue as clients, was injured after he was allegedly punched and kicked by Yadgaroff, the son of his estranged model wife, Suzanna Twigg. But that trial was aborted in October due to technical issues.
When the case reconvened for trial before South Worcestershire magistrates yesterday, prosecutor Shawn Williams revealed that Mr Galvin had decided ‘he does not wish to litigate the issue’.
The lawyer said the stylist hoped his decision to drop the assault charge could be the first step in repairing his relationship with Yadgaroff, an entrepreneur.
Magistrates yesterday heard Yadgaroff hacked Mr Galvin’s Instagram account to post about his ‘domestic difficulties’ in December last year. The exact post was not repeated in court but defence solicitor Richard Hull said: ‘He aired dirty laundry in public.’
Yadgaroff was ordered to pay a fine and costs amounting to £289 after admitting a charge under the malicious communications act. He was also handed a restraining order for one year.
