BAYERN IN HUNT FOR CHELSEA’S CHRISTENSEN

-

■ BAYERN MUNICH have joined Barcelona in expressing interest in signing Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen. The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is free to speak to foreign clubs.

■ CHELSEA are still exploring full back options despite recalling Kenedy from his loan at Flamengo. They have seen three attempts to cut short Emerson Palmieri’s loan at Lyon rebuffed but maintain an interest in Barcelona’s £20million-rated Sergino Dest, among others.

■ STOKE CITY moved swiftly to sign Phil Jagielka following Derby’s transfer embargo. The 39-year-old had been set to sign a six-month contract extension next week with the Rams but instead had a medical at Stoke yesterday ahead of agreeing terms. Stoke remain hopeful of also adding Chelsea’s Lewis Baker.

■ ASTON VILLA are looking to finalise terms for Sweden international goalkeeper Robin Olsen from Sheffield United this weekend but have shown interest in Coventry City’s Simon Moore as an alternative. Villa have been negotiating for Olsen but his loan from Roma must be rearranged and United want to sign a replacement.

■ TOTTENHAM forward Dilan Markanday is poised to join Blackburn Rovers early next week after they agreed an initial £500,000 fee for the 20-year-old. Blackburn have confirmed the signing of Dutch right back Deyovaisio Zeefuik from Hertha Berlin on loan.

■ MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Andreas Pereira wants to make his loan to Flamengo permanent.

■ LEEDS UNITED midfielder Adam Forshaw has signed a contract extension until 2023, with a clause for an extra year.
