Liz, Damian and the man they know as ‘Daddyo’
In a perfect example of the modern blended family, a young man poses with his mother and ex- stepfather at his graduation day ceremony.
But upon closer inspection this photo isn’t of just any regular family – it is none other than actress and model Elizabeth Hurley with her son Damian and her former husband Arun nayar.
In the snap posted to Instagram on Monday, Damian, 20, even referred to Mr nayar, 57, as ‘ daddyo’ as they lined up together alongside Miss Hurley – who was dressed in a brown silk halter-neck dress accompanied with a metallic gold handbag.

photo taken at the £37,000-a-year Wellington College in Berkshire. The ceremony was delayed by two years due to the pandemic.
The late billionaire Steve Bing is Damian’s biological father. Damian also spoke movingly about how he saw another of his mother’s former partners, the cricketer Shane Warne, as a father figure following his death earlier this year.
He was just five years old when his mother married textiles tycoon Mr nayar in 2007 in a traditional Hindu ceremony in the desert state of Rajasthan.
He was nine when Miss Hurley split from Mr nayar but it is now clear that the two men continued a relationship.
Miss Hurley previously revealed that they remained close in an interview in 2018. ‘Arun is Damian’s daddy and a very good one too, they see each other a lot,’ she told The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine.
Soon after they divorced, The Royals actress began dating Australian cricket star Warne and Damian once again formed a strong bond with him and confessed that he saw him as a father figure too. When he died of a heart attack in Thailand earlier this year, Damian wrote on social media: ‘I’m still trying to wrap my head around this… SW was a father figure to me for most of my formative years and was truly one the best men I’ve ever known. My heart is broken.’ Damian’s father Bing took his own life in 2020 which prompted his own father, Dr Peter Bing, to win a bitter court appeal to have his grandson removed from having access to the fortune.
Reacting to the outcome, Miss Hurley said: ‘Stephen would be devastated.’
