How can I vote Tory again?

-

as aN almost lifelong Tory voter I have to express my severe disappointment at the actions of our Conservative MPs.

By forcing out Boris (the choice of the majority of the voters), then not backing a new leader (chosen by a majority of Conservative Party members), they have shown themselves to be not only disloyal but totally misunderstanding of the wishes of most grassroots Tory voters.

They have condemned this country to years of tottering along with a weak Government at the mercy of minority groups who will decimate the strong majority won by Boris.

how can I ever consider voting for this party again, when all I can see is a disunited group who prefer backstabbing and self-interest to unity and loyalty?

saM WOOllarD, Yelverton, Devon. LeT’s hope the majority of Conservative MPs are brave enough to take action to depose Liz Truss.

During the leadership contest, Rishi sunak predicted that her proposals would lead to higher inflation and higher interest rates, but his warnings were ignored.

we had the ridiculous situation where the Government and the Bank of england were pulling in opposite directions. No wonder the financial markets are baffled and concerned.

Let us hope wise heads in the Tory party can take control and either change any remaining foolish policies or remove those at the top.

peTer ClarK, Hartlepool. FoRTy-FIVe years ago I realised the trade unions and the Labour Party were no longer looking after the working class, so I started voting Conservative, as they were doing a better job for this group of people.

But if they think they can throw democracy out of the window and replace the PM without the party having a vote, I will never vote for them again.
